Shipping policy

Samples and the Architect and Designer Kit ship free by UPS Ground anywhere in the continental US, usually within 2 business days.

Flooring ships by freight on a pallet, from our warehouses in New Jersey or California depending on the floor.

• New York, New Jersey and Connecticut: $250 per crate (a crate holds up to about 3,000 lb, roughly one pallet). Includes liftgate delivery and a delivery appointment. We'll call to schedule.
• Rest of the continental US: the freight charge is a live quote shown at checkout, based on your ZIP code and the weight of the order. Curbside delivery; liftgate and appointment where the carrier offers them.
• Alaska, Hawaii and outside the US: call 212-518-3669 for a quote.

Timing: in-stock flooring usually ships within 3 to 5 business days; transit is typically 2 to 7 business days depending on distance. We'll email tracking or the carrier's details when it ships.

At delivery (curbside only): the driver lowers the pallet to the curb or driveway with a liftgate and does not bring anything inside, up stairs or into an elevator. You provide the people to unload the boxes from the pallet and carry them in. The carrier calls the delivery contact on your order to set the appointment, so give us the full name and mobile number of the person who will meet the truck, and the days and hours that work.

Missed deliveries: if no one is there for the appointment, or there is no one to unload, the carrier's redelivery and storage fees apply and are charged before a second attempt.

Sales tax: charged at checkout based on the delivery address. Tax-exempt buyers (resale or exemption certificate) choose "tax-exempt" in the cart and email the certificate with the order number; we refund the tax once it is on file and set the account exempt for future orders.

Storage before installation: keep boxes flat, indoors and dry, and let the flooring acclimate in the room for at least 48 hours before installing.
